Common Sense Economics
Common Sense Economics is where EFI’s work began, and it continues to shape what we do today.
Originally written by leading economists, the book has been adapted by EFI into a regional edition, translated into 15 languages, and used across 15 countries. Available in print, EPUB, and PDF formats, it presents core economic ideas through clear explanations and locally relevant examples.
It introduces essential principles, such as incentives, trade, and decision-making, in a way that is practical and easy to apply, helping students, educators, and communities better understand how economies work and how choices shape opportunity.
While the book laid the foundation, EFI’s work has expanded beyond it. We continue to grow our programs and resources to meet demand and deepen impact across our network.
