Common Sense Economics
Common Sense Economics is where EFI’s work began, and it continues to shape what we do today.
Originally written by leading economists, the book has been adapted by EFI into regional editions, translated into 14 languages, and used across 13 countries. Available in print, EPUB, and PDF formats, it presents core economic ideas through clear explanations and locally relevant examples.
It introduces essential principles, such as incentives, trade, and decision-making, in a way that is practical and easy to apply, helping students, educators, and communities better understand how economies work and how everyday choices create opportunity.
While the book laid the foundation, EFI’s work has expanded beyond it. We continue to grow our programs and resources to meet demand and increase our impact across the network.
